The Micronutrient Initiative (MI) is an international NGO dedicated to ensuring that the world's most vulnerable -especially women and children in developing countries - get the vitamins and minerals they need to survive and thrive. With headquarters in Ottawa, Canada MI maintains regional offices in New Delhi, India and Dakar, Senegal that manage our country offices in Asia and Africa.

The MI is currently recruiting the position:
IT CONSULTANT - from the Firm/Company (not individual).


The firm will provide routine support in IT Management, Trouble Shootingand Training at the premises of the MI office at Wirausaha Building 2ndFloor, Jl. HR Rasuna Said Jakarta (upto 7 staff at MI Office) and off-site consultants of the MI upto 15 persons, by undertaking the following:

  I. 90% of the calls will be closed within the stipulated response and resolution time (depending on the severity of the call) – measured on a monthly basis.

  II. Severity Levels –

*Level I –* A problem which affects large number of users/critical users in their immediate working (Network, Local Server, Printer problems)

*Level II – *A problem which affects an individual user (Desktop, local printer, Application client problems)

*Level III – *Installation of Desktops, Upgradation in configuration, creation of profile, movement of equipment within site/locations, diagnose and solve the offsite consultants’ laptops for its hardware/software’s fault.

The Firm will be responsible for the following items under the direction of the Ottawa office:

· Adhere to local practices and procedures required by the local
office where such practices or procedures do not conflict with the overall
infrastructure and design outlined by the Ottawa office.
· Workstation Hardware and Software maintenance including OS upgrades, application updates and maintenance, windows updates, etc.
· Server Hardware / Software maintenance (to be performed only
under the direction of the Ottawa office).
· Configure and setup network printers, scanners, multifunction
devices and other computing peripherals.
· Disaster recovery support and back up procedures, daily maintenance of backups.
· Advise local management office of any deficiencies in the performance of the network and its related services and to assist in correcting said deficiencies.
· Provide monitoring of the system availability in support of
desired service levels.
· Assist and educate the local user population as required.
· Provide remote support to all offsite consultants via telephone
or e-mail 
· Identify, analyze, advice and resolve service requests of offsite consultants
· Monitor critical devices / services such as Internet
connectivity, firewall, network switches and UPS.
· Liaise with MI Ottawa helpdesk and assist with projects/problems or any other related IT task when required.


*Qualification*
An advanced university degree in the field of IT programming
A first level university degree in combination with qualifying experiencemay be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree

A minimum of 5 years of working experience in troubleshooting and server application.

Experience of working closely with the international organization and government of Indonesia is desired

Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken).
